Where to from here?

Welcome!

Thank you for your interest in Gardner-Webb University's Fall Forum. We are excited about this semester's program and hope you find room in your schedule to attend the events we have planned.

The centerpiece of our Forum is the Tuesday evening panel discussion featuring the renowned constitutional law scholar Michael J. Gerhardt of the University of North Carolina School of Law. Dr. Gerhardt will deliver the Keynote Address at 7:00 PM on Tuesday evening, 15 November 2005. Two members of the Gardner-Webb faculty will respond to Dr. Gerhardt's address--Kent Blevins (ethics) and Joe Collins (religion). These speakers will be followed by a short question and answer session. The evening will conclude with a reception in the Fireside Lounge (Dover Campus Center).

On Wednesday evening, Gardner-Webb University Theater will present the world premiere of a new play entitled PURGING MARY, written by Scot Lahaie. This play attempts to capture the elements of the abortion debate while focusing the impact of the debate on the Christian community. The play will be performed daily through Sunday in the Millennium Playhouse for five performances.

Throughout the week we will be hosting many small discussion groups across the campus. These groups provide our stuent the opportunity to express themselves about the things they have seen and heard during the Forum. Make your plans now to be involved in one or more of these groups.
