PURGING MARY by Scot Lahaie
Gardner-Webb University Theater proudly presents the world premiere of PURGING MARY, an original play by Scot Lahaie, Director of Theater at Gardner-Webb. Built as a dialectic in the tradition of the epic theater, this play explores the extreme positions (both politically and socially) represented in the American Abortion Debate with a particular interest in the impact this debate has had upon the Christian community. Although the play's subject is abortion, the author also explores issues of racism, marriage, and religious hypocrisy.
